Bob Beaumont has more than 40 years’ experience in investment banking, venture capital and asset finance, and small-to-medium enterprise investment. Bob has interests in the UK, Ireland, Germany, US and Australia. Bob has a special interest in rural and regional businesses.
Bob is an active business angel in his own right and has a range of start-up investments in manufacturing, IT and the rural sector. These employ more than 300 people, with combined annual revenues exceeding $60 million. Bob has mixed his business interests and investments with an active role as a senior adviser in the Australian Federal Government commercialization and R&D programs for the last 14 years, plus played a key role of developing, participating and educating Business Angels groups from Australia & New Zealand, to Ireland, UK & Scotland. Bob is a past president of the Small Business Mentoring Service, the 2009 Swinburne University AGSE Hall of Fame inductee for his services to entrepreneurship and private capital market development in Australia.
For the past 10 years, Bob has been an active supporter of Prof. Engel’s Venture Capital Executive Program at Haas and the Australian Partner for the FEMBA GAP Program at the Anderson Business School at UCLA, bringing more than a 150 technology entrepreneurial company executives to participate in these programs.
