"The act of coaching is the ultimate act of service in helping human beings to unleash their gifts, talents and fullest potential. It is an inspirational, life-changing process that allows the coachee to look at the barriers and challenges of their professional and personal lives, providing a safe space with a level of trust, professional intimacy and confidentiality. One of the greatest outcomes of an executive coaching process is that leaders and professionals become truly independent thinkers who are not governed by the status quo. They emerge as truly courageous individuals who know about doing the right thing. The very act of coaching develops people to develop themselves."

-Mark Rittenberg, Executive Coach

"Entering into a coaching experience is really about entering into an environment that is calling for something different, whether that is attitude, behavior, perspective, thinking or action. To facilitate this the coach asks questions that will bring about break through thinking. Inquiry represents a process of discovery and curiosity. Instead of asking what is wrong, we are asking what is new."

-Arina Isaacson, Executive Coach

Executive Coaching Institute

The UC Berkeley Center for Executive Education is pleased to announce a summer coaching institute for individuals interested in entering the field of executive coaching.

This two week coaching workshop will offer intensive study in mastery of the Active Communicating coaching methodology. This methodology is based on our belief that the coach is a catalyst.  A coach does not develop people.  A coach equips people who develop themselves.
