Global Energy Leadership Program
An advanced leadership program for rising energy company executives
One of the most critical issues confronting the energy industry is the need to educate and prepare the next generation of leaders to assume senior management responsibilities within an increasingly complex and globalizing world. Key issues contributing to this need include the rapid aging of senior executive teams in many organizations, a significant gap in the experience base of succession candidates due to the lack of industry hiring from the mid-1980s until the mid-1990s, growth in the scope and importance of current and former state-owned energy enterprises as well as the internationalization of the industry.
To address this urgent need, UC Berkeley Center for Executive Education and the University of Calgary Center for Executive Education have partnered to create the world’s premier executive development program specifically designed for high-caliber energy industry leaders. This program will accelerate the leadership and management capabilities of very high potential executives by exposing them to the key strategic issues and challenges facing the industry and by provided them with the opportunity to learn and apply the latest management models and practices aimed at maximizing performance in the workplace. This intense program will also provide participants with the opportunity to interact with an able group of peers, seasoned senior industry executives and subject matter experts as well as world-class faculty who will challenge and stretch their thinking.
