Beth Axelrod

VP Employee Experience, Airbnb

Beth Axelrod joined Airbnb in 2017 as the Vice President of employee experience where she handles human resources capabilities. Prior to joining Airbnb, Beth was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at eBay, responsible for all aspects of the company’s human resources capabilities designed to drive the performance of the business including, recruiting, learning and development, compensation and benefits, organization design and the continuing evolution of the company’s culture. Before joining eBay, Axelrod was the Chief Talent Officer of WPP Group plc, one of the world’s leading communication services groups, where she was also an executive director. Before WPP, she was a principal with McKinsey & Company where she was a strategy and organization consultant. While at McKinsey, Axelrod co-authored "The War for Talent" based on McKinsey research that demonstrated the link between better talent management practices and better business performance.

Axelrod sits on the board of the eBay Foundation, the company’s philanthropic and social innovation arm.

Axelrod holds a B.S.E. degree with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MPPM from the Yale School of Management.
