James Moed heads up the design team at Viasat focusing on delivering internet connectivity to rural areas and hard-to-reach populations. For the previous 16 years, he has been working with product leaders around the world to imagine, prototype, and launch new ventures, services, and user experiences.
As one of the first “Business Designers” at IDEO, James helped companies approach complex issues with a human lens, getting to know customers from Midwestern moms, to Hong Kong billionaires, to migrant workers in Dubai. As a coach to both entrepreneurs and intrepreneurs, James helps teams do more with less, build to learn, and let real customer experiences tell the story. James holds degrees from Brown University and INSEAD and has taught Product Design at the University of Pennsylvania
