John Beil

Director of Private Equity, University of California Investment Office

John Beil is the Director of Private Equity at the University of California Investment Office where he manages a $6 billion portfolio of buyout, co-investments, credit strategies, growth equity, special situations, and venture capital investments.

Prior to moving to California, John was a founding team member of the World Bank's private equity subsidiary, the IFC Asset Management Company. John previously spent four years leading debt and equity investments for the International Finance Corporation and two years as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup Global Markets. John received his MBA from The George Washington University, where he was a Potomac Fellow, and his BA from Tulane University where he was a Founders Fellow.
