Mary Jane Bedegi
Mary Jane Bedegi has been CFO and in other finance leadership positions with various Silicon Valley venture capital firms. Most recently she was CFO at the global venture firm Nokia Growth Partners for ten years where she setup operations in the US, Finland, Switzerland, China and India. She also assists emerging growth companies with the business plans and previously held finance leadership roles with technology companies including Silicon Graphics and WarpSpeed Communications and was a principal in public accounting with Ernst & Young.
She has contributed to many companies, both large and small, being part of the team to build business plans and acquire funding and also been the project leader on process improvement teams and software installations. She has been part of a winning team in the Berkeley Business Plan Competition, as well as a mentor or judge for other business plan competitions.
She has an MBA from UC Berkeley, is a certified public accountant (inactive) and is a contributing author of the First Mile- Essentials of Entrepreneurship. Other affiliations include the Berkeley Angel Network, TIE, Stanford VLAB and VCBC (venture capital finance organization) and is a Court Appointed Advocate (CASA) for a foster child, is a tennis coach for the Special Olympics and also works pro bono for a global nonprofit organization.
