Nick Sturiale is a General Partner at Jafco Ventures, which he joined in 2009, bringing over 20 years of experience in the technology industry both as a venture capitalist and an entrepreneur.
Nick's venture capital career began with Sevin Rosen Funds. He then joined The Carlyle Group as a Managing Director and co-head of its Silicon Valley office. Prior to his venture experience, Nick spent twelve years as an entrepreneur and operating executive in venture-backed start-ups. He was founding CEO of Timbre Technologies (acquired by Tokyo Electron for $138 million). Nick was the original investor and remains on the board of Splunk (SPLK). He is also on the boards of YouSendIt, Bill.com, RedSeal Networks, Reputation.com, Vuclip and Ratify.
His past investments include XenSource (Citrix Systems), which was acquired for $500 million. Nick holds a BS degree from California State University, Chico and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
