Tanya Kemp joined San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System (“SFERS”) in 2008 to cover its private equity portfolio. SFERS has been successfully investing capital in private markets since 1987 and currently manages an $8 billion private markets portfolio comprising private equity and real assets. In her role as Director of Private Equity, Ms. Kemp oversees a $2.5 billion global venture capital and growth portfolio.
Prior to joining SFERS, Ms. Kemp was an analyst with Missouri State Employees Retirement System covering risk and performance attributes of the plan’s portfolio.
Ms. Kemp received her M.S. in International Relations from the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University in Ukraine and M.B.A. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In addition, she holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.
