Joe Wadcan is an entrepreneur, technologist, and business educator with experience spanning the technology, finance, and startup sectors. He currently serves as professional faculty at the Haas School of Business, where he develops and delivers the Learn to Code for MBAs workshop—a program he has since expanded to SF State University.
Joe holds a Master of Business Administration from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, where he served as Co-President of the Entrepreneurs Association and as a Graduate Student Instructor for both Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Life As An Entrepreneur courses. His undergraduate studies were completed at the Rochester Institute of Technology's Saunders College of Business, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Prior to his academic career, Joe held senior roles in corporate communications and venture investment. At Citigroup, he rose to SVP, Emerging Communications Manager, leading the internal launch of Citi 2.0, a collaboration platform that scaled from six to 15,000 users and generated a new division with $2.8 million in annual spend.
Joe is also the founder of Calico (calico.io), a technology startup through which he builds full-stack web applications using Ruby on Rails and MongoDB.
