With over 27 years in the UC system at UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, and for the past six years at Berkeley, Marc directs efforts to improve campus operations to meet its budgetary goals while remaining the nation’s preeminent public research university.
As vice chancellor, Marc directs Berkeley’s administrative operations, leading a division of more than 2,000 staff spanning People & Culture (HR), Information Technology, Capital Strategies, Facilities Services, Berkeley Regional Services, the UC Police Department, Supply Chain Management, Parking & Transportation, ADA Compliance, and Campus Sustainability; all functions that support Berkeley's teaching, research, and public service mission.
Marc partners with the Chancellor and Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost to improve organizational culture, focusing especially on Berkeley’s commitment to diversity.
