Matthew is the former CEO of Quizlet, where he led the company's mission to help everyone practice and master whatever they are learning. During his tenure, Quizlet’s monthly active students grew by 600% to over 75M, revenue increased by over 30x, and company value increased by 15x to over $1 billion. He also built a talented global team of 300+ employees and continues to serve as a board director.

Before joining Quizlet, Matthew was the vice president of product management at YouTube, responsible for YouTube's Subscription and Music business, and a member of the YouTube executive team.  He formerly led the global Creator product and technology direction and served as the Managing Director of YouTube in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, where he was responsible for the strategy, development, and management of YouTube’s business and product direction.  Previously, he led the Apps and Enterprise product divisions within Google and, in 2007, launched Google Apps (now Google Workspace), Google's cloud computing suite for business. Prior to joining Google in 2004, Matthew was a senior member of the management team for the computer industry business unit at Trilogy, an enterprise software company based in Austin, TX. Matthew holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University.
