This video features a study trip which is part of a larger training and development program called the Impactful Leaders Program at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development in Dubai. This year, UC Berkeley Executive Education led sessions in both Dubai and Amsterdam. Participants traveled to Amsterdam, the Netherlands in June 2019 to learn about the most relevant trends within the scope of the UAE's priority sectors and conducted street interviews on what it means to be Dutch, happiness, gender equity, race, and relations with the Middle East. Guest speakers included journalist and Dutch UN women’s representative, Clarice Gargard who helped participants get a better understanding of gender equity and race issues in the Netherlands and Petra Stienen, author, independent advisor and a former diplomat.
